Auburn University
Auburn University, located on the Loveliest Village on the Plains, Auburn, AL, has maintained a strong Circle K Club for many years, competing with the 300 other various and sundry organizations on Auburn's campus. The club is sponsored by the Auburn Kiwanis Club and interacts with them regularly. Auburn's club also remains active by striving to attend each of the conventions offered by the district and several of the international conferences each year.
Auburn's Circle K Club participates in weekly service projects such as Jean Dean Reading is Fundamental (a non-profit program in conjunction with the Alabama Kiwanis Foundation that gives books to at-risk preschoolers), Dandy (a big, green dinosaur who visits the geriatric and pediatric wards at the local hospital), Humane Society, and either Monarch Estates (a retirement home) or Habitat for Humanity.
The club meets every Monday at 7:00 p.m. in room 246 in the Foy Student Union and invites anyone who is interested to visit a meeting or check out the website at www.auburncirclek.com.
